Annual General Meeting 2018

NOTICE:  CIRCUS WOW ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

All WOW members are invited to attend

TIME:   11.45 AM

WHERE: SwitchFit Gym,  4/73 Montague St, Fairy Meadow

AGENDA:

This AGM is to report on 2017 and elect new committee members for 2018.

It will include some footage from ‘Portraits of WOW’.

Stay afterwards for a Clothes and Costume Swap.

 

VOTING AND MEMBERSHIP DUES

Voting at the AGM is for full members (Women 18+). To vote, nominate or hold positions on the committee, current membership for 2018 is required. Membership fees for 2018 are now due if not already paid. Membership is $10 for the year. You can sign up for membership through Trybooking or bring $10 to the AGM and sign up then.

 

The AGM is a time to express your interest in volunteering in any aspect of Circus WOW, as well as presenting your ideas for projects and your vision for WOW. Circus WOW is run by volunteers – it is a members group run by members for members to create the projects that contribute so much to our local area.  Some of the main jobs are listed on the job description summaries attached. You can nominate anytime to assist on projects or when the roles become available.

Please read the attached role descriptions and consider if you would like to be part of the WOW committee for 2018. We would encourage anyone who is interested in being involved in any way to come to the AGM and also consider nomination. The Management Committee is an excellent way to work collaboratively with other amazing and inspirational women, and to be actively involved in the goings on in the local community of Wollongong. It is a place where you develop new skills, inspire others and are inspired, lead and contribute, and are very much valued!

After the official AGM meeting we will have lunch together (to be provided) – please RSVP for catering numbers.

As this is the main WOW meeting of the year, we would love to have as many WOWers present – even if you don’t have much time to volunteer this year.

COMMITTEE POSITIONS ALL DECLARED VACANT AT AGM

We are seeking nominations for the committee for 2018.

The roles which need to be elected at the AGM are:
1. President
2  Vice President
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. Public Officer
6. General Committee members x4

In addition to the above positions, we are seeking people to support with Safety, Training Co-ordination, Communication and Promotion, and Outreach Co-ordination. If you have a particular interest and would like to contribute in some way, please be in touch with Fiona through circuswow@gmail.com if you’d like to connect first talk through ideas or advise at the AGM.
